If there’s anything I’ve learned as a Toddler Mom, it’s to always have snacks on hand. Woke up from naptime on the wrong side of the crib? Snack time. Going for a walk? Bring snacks. Heading to the store? Grab the snacks. Coming home from school? Break out the snacks!

But I’ve also learned that simply having snacks isn’t enough. When you have a hungry toddler quickly approaching meltdown territory, digging through an overstuffed diaper bag for the applesauce pouch you know you packed is less than ideal. So somewhere along the way, I started collecting a few products that make toddler snacktime easier, less messy, and a whole lot more organized — both at home and on the go.

Here are three things that have made snacktime in our home — and on the go — more convenient for our family.

1. Clear Waterproof Zip-Up Pouch

Not all snacks are created equal. Some days, applesauce is king while others may call for fruit bites. This clear zip-up pouch is a major time-saver when trying to find the perfect treat for a hangry toddler. The durable, hard plastic helps it survive any drop or throw and makes it easy to find when digging through the diaper bag blind.

2. Multi-Compartment Snack Spinner

This Snack Spinner not only has five compartments for different snacks, but it also doubles as a fun toy for our son — especially when we’ve traveled with him! We initially bought this for our first flight. The large button in the middle that spins the container still makes for great entertainment.

3. Pouch Toppers

There’s nothing worse than what was supposed to be an easy snack making you question all of your life choices. We often reach for pouches at snacktime, but never without one of these SoftSip Toppers. Pouches can be extremely messy if you have a toddler who loves to squeeze it for fun instead of to eat. These toppers prevent the food from spilling out of the pouch, but the built-in flow control valve allows your child to enjoy their treat without needing a bath afterward.

Snacktime may never be completely mess-free, but having the right gear on hand definitely makes it easier. Whether we’re heading out for the day, traveling, or just trying to make it from naptime to dinner, these are the essentials we find ourselves reaching for again and again. Because when you’re dealing with a hungry child, sometimes the difference between a perfectly pleasant outing and complete chaos is simply being able to get the puffs out fast enough.

Sincerely,

Your Dallas Mom Friend
